Keenan Chen

Keenan is based in First Draft’s New York bureau and reports on disinformation activities both inside and outside of the United States. Previously, he was an investigative fellow at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism’s Cross-Borders Data Project, and researched on transnational money laundering activities and the real estate industry in New York City. He has contributed reporting and research to The Miami Herald, The Washington Post, ProPublica and The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). Keenan holds a MS in journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and a BS in journalism and political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese.
