Finding sources around the world is an important skill for any journalist, and so is keeping them on side to help in future stories

Social media connects the world in an instant, making it a vital part of how journalists find sources and report the news.

Developing sources online takes skill, time and patience, however. Reportedly covers global news almost exclusively through social media, so those sources are vital, and Reportedly’ deputy managing editor, P Kim Bui, explained how she approaches this challenge in her work at the recent First Draft Live event at AJ+ in San Francisco.
